I've been holding on to this 75 Year Old Antique Barnwood plank for awhile. I finally found a reason to use this beautiful piece of history. In my kitchen, there is an old breakfast nook that desperately needed some new sitting benches.  I've tried several times buying kitchen sets to rightly fit this area but in the end, none of them succeeded. It needed a custom touch!  To start, I took old nails off the wood, sanded it using several grades of  sandpaper, and then finished it with linseed oil.  I added a modern touch with hairpin legs.

Lately, I've been spending my time on Instagram.  It's addictive!  I love meeting new people and learning about their interests.  I also found many Instagramers who love thrifting like I do!  As you may not know, I'm not technically savvy. I'm very old school. For example, I'm still working on my blog. From learning to enhance the look of my blog and adding buttons on the side of my blog, as most bloggers already know how to do-old school me, nope. So Instagram is a new way for me to make my blog more interesting. I hope to see you on Instagram!
